Univ.-Prof. Dr. habil. Ricardo Büttner ist Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Wirtschaftsinformatik & Data Science an der Universität Bayreuth.
Prof. Büttner arbeitet seit mehr als 25 Jahren in Industrie (bspw. 9 Jahre bei BMW) und Wissenschaft an der Entwicklung und Umsetzung moderner KI-Lösungen.
Er hat Informatik (Dipl.-Inf.), Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen (Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing.) und BWL (Dipl.-Kfm.) an der TU Ilmenau und der FernUni Hagen studiert, an der Uni Hohenheim im KI-Schwerpunktprogramm der DFG promoviert (Dr.) und an der Uni Trier im Fach Wirtschaftsinformatik habilitiert (Dr. habil., venia legendi).
Für die Industrie (u.a. Airbus, BMW, Deutsche Bahn, Philips) sowie mittelständige Unternehmen hat Prof. Büttner KI-basierte Lösungen in den Bereichen e-Recruiting, inline Qualitätskontrolle und zerstörungsfreie Materialprüfung bearbeitet.
Zudem ist er als Fachexperte und Gutachter für Projektträger des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) tätig.
